Pennrose and Employees Donate More Than $8K to Support Hurricane Harvey Red Cross
September 8, 2017
The impact of Hurricane Harvey on Texas was devastating with catastrophic property damage, thousands of displaced families and individuals, and humanitarian efforts ongoing. Pennrose and its employees raised $8,170 in only one week to support the Red Cross Hurricane Harvey relief effort. The donation was a result of the generous personal donations from more than 65 Pennrose employees throughout the organization and matched dollar for dollar by the Pennrose Enterprise.
“Our hearts go out to the millions affected in this region,” said Mark H. Dambly, president of Pennrose, LLC. “We are so proud of the response by our employees to help with the Red Cross disaster relief activities.”
Properties throughout the Pennrose portfolio, as well as employees and residents, were impacted by Hurricane Sandy in 2012. The organization and its employees saw supporting the relief activities for the Hurricane Harvey victims as a way to return the support and kindness received following the Superstorm. Loss of property and the disruption of lives is traumatic to everyone, but can be made more problematic for families and individuals living in financially challenged households.
