Project Overview

Pennrose and the Troy Housing Authority are undertaking a comprehensive redevelopment of the existing Taylor Apartments sites located in downtown Troy, NY. The Taylor redevelopment is divided into Taylor I and II. Taylor II will be a 325,000-square-foot mixed-use development consisting of 308 housing units and a ground-floor retail space. This program will be distributed between a pair of six-story buildings. The project requires the demolition of the currently occupied Taylor 3 and 4 towers, which together contain 125 Rental Assistance Demonstration units that will be fully replaced in the new development. It will also have an additional 125 units for renters earning between 60% and 80% of the Area Median Income and an additional 58 units for renters earning up to 103% of the Area Median Income.

Residents will benefit from a range of amenities on-site, including bulk storage space, in-unit washers and dryers, modern appliances, well-maintained public open space, private fitness rooms in each building, and private community rooms. Residents. All 13 studios, 81 one bedrooms, 182 two bedrooms and 32 three bedrooms will include an in-unit washer/dryer.
