The assignment of a lottery number indicates your placement in the lottery. Please note that there is a preference for 70% of the units for those who live, work or have children who go to school in Wareham. Your lottery number will be mailed to you shortly! Two housing lotteries were conducted for Swifts Landing (family apartments + age-restricted apartments for seniors 62+) on 10/4/24 for those that applied by EOD 9/24/24. The full application and interview process will begin immediately following the lottery with all eligible applicants catalogued into their lottery selection slot. Swifts Landing is a brand new 93-unit family and senior rental community currently under construction in Wareham, MA. One-, two- and three-bedroom affordable and workforce apartments will be available at various income tiers (30%, 60%, 120% AMI). 44 of the 93 apartments will have age restrictions, available to seniors 62 and older.
Residents will enjoy spacious floor plans, modern kitchens with dishwasher, and a washer and dryer (senior building has shared laundry facilities). Community amenities include an inviting clubhouse with outdoor patio, a fitness center, and play area for children.
Occupancy is currently slated for October 2024 for the townhome-style buildings and November 2024 for the senior building. This site will be updated as more information becomes available.
